David Traughber serves as the Senior Vice President of Commercial Finance at El Segundo-based toymaker Mattel. In his role, David leads Mattel’s global commercial finance function, including accounting, financial planning and decision-support that delivers $6 billion of annual sales across 150 countries.  Additionally, David is responsible for Mattel’s global real estate and indirect procurement functions.

Over his 20+ year career with the toymaker, David has held several financial, operational and strategic roles in both the U.S. and Europe.  Prior to Mattel, David worked in the investment banking and private equity industries in Southern California.

A fourth generation Angeleno, David resides in the South Bay.  He previously served as President of the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson.  David earned an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BS in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder.
